Getting Started with GTM Payroll Services

Now let’s activate your account. Our New Account Center is designed with your lifestyle in mind. Information saves as you enter, you can come and go as needed, and it’s presented in “interview style” to help to ensure you don’t miss anything. It’ll take just a moment of your time to get started.
Login to your account and provide us with the information listed below.
My Info
- Make sure the primary tax filer is listed as the primary GTM account holder
- Add any authorized contacts to your account, including your spouse or accountant if you would like to give them access
- Email reminder selection (we send a few emails on a schedule to help you manage your account)
- Additional security settings
Account Setup
- Provide us with the payment method you’d like to use to fund your payroll & taxes
- Tell us whether you have a federal employer identification number (FEIN) and/or state tax IDs (we’ll need proof of your federal and state IDs)
- Account pay cycle tells us the frequency that you’d like us to pay your employee(s)
- Benefits: let us know if you want us to setup any special items for your employee(s)
My employee
- Initiate onboarding for your employee by entering some basic information: name, email address, phone number, and first date of employment
- Your employee will receive an email or text to register for an account and complete their profile information, add emergency contacts, complete their Form I-9 and withholding information, and add banking details for direct deposit
- Set up the rest of the details: rates and hours, hourly or salary. If you’ve paid the employee prior to processing with GTM, we’ll need that information along with any current year tax filings
Documents
- E-sign Form 8821 (this allows us to apply for your FEIN and/or communicate with the IRS as needed)
- E-sign workers’ compensation application (if applicable)
- Upload proof of FEIN (if applicable)
Review
- This section allows you to make a final review of any missing items for your account
- Your final step is to send your completed account information to us when you are ready
