Message from the CEO

Hello everyone, I’m Guy Maddalone, founder and CEO of GTM Payroll Services. I hope you and your family are safe and healthy.  It’s a challenging time for families and businesses right now, so I wanted to update you on everything GTM is doing for you.

We fully implemented our business continuity plan several weeks ago, with 96% of our staff working remotely through secure connections. For those that need to be on site, they are practicing social distancing and taking every precaution when handling our work that gets out to you.  I am very proud of how hard our GTMers are working on your behalf to ensure that your payrolls are processed and shipped timely.

For our business clients looking to take advantage of the Paycheck Protection Program, or “PPP” loan we helped retrieve your 2019 941s and gave you access to new reports to assist with the loan application.  We’ve also processed your first quarter 2020 941s on April 2 which was 7 days ahead of schedule for us.

For the Families First Coronavirus Response Act or FFCRA, we have added COVID-19 paid sick leave earning codes and emergency FMLA earning codes for both our household and business clients.  And we set-up the employee retention tax credit.

Regarding tax payments, all tax obligations have been made as scheduled and we’re all systems go with the April 30 Q1 tax deadline, even though many states have extended their deadlines.

Throughout all of this we have increased our communications to keep you informed of developments that impact your business. Our business blog and our household blog are updated regularly, and we have been sending you more direct emails and hosting webinars. We also have COVID-19 payroll and HR resource pages for businesses and for households with the latest information.

I want to reassure you even during this challenging time, GTM has not missed a beat. Tax payments are being made, your payroll is continuing to process, ACH transactions are processed and reconciled daily, and your employees will continue to receive their pay.

For clients with employees receiving live paychecks, we encourage you to use direct deposit as social distancing may cause bank branches and check cashing facilities to limit hours.
