CLIFTON PARK, NY – June 9, 2021 – In recognition of 30 years in business and serving the Capital Region, GTM Payroll Services will be contributing $30,000 to community organizations.
The groups receiving donations are non-profit clients of the firm that collectively provide a variety of social services for families, children, seniors, and many others in need.
“Much like GTM, these organizations have long histories of serving their communities,” said GTM Payroll Services’ Founder and CEO Guy Maddalone. “They are indispensable resources for the Capital Region and we’re proud to support their payroll and human resources needs as well as their visions and missions.”
These contributions to local groups are just the latest way GTM has given back to the community since the company’s founding in 1991 with household payroll and tax management for families that hired household help.
That year Maddalone started his payroll business with a few hundred dollars and a small office in Colonie serving high-net-worth clients in the tri-state area.
GTM was one of the first firms in the country to provide “nanny tax” services, which became increasingly in demand after several high-profile nominees to federal government positions withdrew due to non-compliance with household employment tax laws.
Just 10 years after its founding, GTM moved its headquarters to a new 10,000-square-foot facility in Clifton Park and started a business payroll service that continues to serve the human capital management (HCM) needs of Capital Region companies of all types and sizes.
With both business and household payroll service offerings, GTM landed on the INC 5000 list of the fastest-growing, U.S. private companies in 2005.
Also that year, GTM made The Business Review’s Best Places to Work. A few years later the firm added the Times Union’s Top Workplaces to its accolades.
With its fun and engaging work environment, employee recognition programs, involvement in the community, and a commitment to client service, GTM continued to be acknowledged by both publications as a top employer in the Capital Region.
