Beginning on September 18, 2017, all employers &#8211; including household employers &#8211; must use the revised Form I-9. The new version will be available on Monday, July 17, 2017, but employers can continue to use the current form (<a href=\"https:\/\/gtm.com\/household\/new-form-i9-for-employers\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">revised in November of 2016<\/a>) until September 17, 2017. This new form will only apply to new employees &#8211; current employees do not need to fill out a new form.<\/p>\n<p>The revised form includes some changes to the list of acceptable documents for Form I-9 verification, but otherwise the changes are minimal and mainly limited to the language used on the form.
