{"id":2457,"date":"2015-07-08T15:13:36","date_gmt":"2015-07-08T19:13:36","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/gtm.com\/business\/?p=2457"},"modified":"2021-03-27T16:07:00","modified_gmt":"2021-03-27T20:07:00","slug":"do-you-know-your-aca-reporting-and-compliance-requirements","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/gtm.com\/business\/do-you-know-your-aca-reporting-and-compliance-requirements\/","title":{"rendered":"Do You Know Your ACA Reporting and Compliance Requirements?"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright size-medium wp-image-1310\" style=\"border: 1px solid black;\" title=\"ACA reporting requirements\" src=\"https:\/\/gtm.com\/business\/wp-content\/uploads\/healthcare-300x168.jpg\" alt=\"ACA reporting requirements\" width=\"300\" height=\"168\" \/>The reporting and compliance requirements associated with the Shared Responsibility Provision of the Affordable Care Act (ACA) affect Applicable Large Employers (ALEs), those with 50 or more full-time (FT) or full-time equivalent employees (FTE).<\/p>\n<p><b>For 2015, ALEs of 50-99 FT\/FTE employees are required to:<\/b><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Report to the IRS any information regarding health insurance coverage offered to FTEs via <a title=\"Form 1094 C\" href=\"https:\/\/www.irs.gov\/uac\/About-Form-1094-C\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Form 1094-C<\/a> and <a title=\"Form 1095 C\" href=\"https:\/\/www.irs.gov\/uac\/About-Form-1095-C\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Form 1095-C<\/a><\/li>\n<li>Provide employees with Form 1095-C so they can report the same information to the IRS<\/li>\n<li>Prepare to provide FTEs with affordable health care coverage in 2016<\/li>\n<li>Submit information by February 29, 2016 (if done by paper) or March 31, 2016 (electronically)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><em>ALEs with 50-99 FT\/FTE employees will not be liable for non-compliance penalties.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><b>For 2015, ALEs of 100 or more FT\/FTE employees are required to:<\/b><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Execute all of the above, plus:<\/li>\n<li>Offer FTEs affordable health care coverage for the entire 2015 calendar year<\/li>\n<li>Submit information by February 29, 2016 (if done by paper) or March 31, 2016 (electronically).
