For 2022, the SAWW is $1,594.57.<\/p>\n<h2>2022 New York Paid Family Leave Rate for Employee Contribution Unchanged; Maximum Contribution and Benefit to Increase<\/h2>\n<p>New York state\u2019s Department of Financial Services has\u00a0released the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dfs.ny.gov\/apps_and_licensing\/health_insurers\/pfl_rate_decision_2022\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">paid family leave employee contribution rate for 2022<\/a>. In addition, the 2022 maximum benefit amount is now available.<\/p>\n<h3>2022 NY PFL Contribution and Benefit Rates<\/h3>\n<p>New York paid family leave is funded completely through employee contributions. The contribution rate beginning January 1, 2022, has been set at the same level as calendar year 2021: 0.506 percent, plus a risk adjustment of 0.005 percent, for a total of <b>0.511 percent of an employee\u2019s wages each pay period<\/b>. The annual maximum employee contribution is\u00a0<b>$423.71<\/b>\u00a0for 2022 (up from $385.34 in 2021).<\/p>\n<p>In addition, the maximum weekly benefit amount for paid family leave in 2022 will be\u00a0<b>$1,068.36 <\/b>\u2013\u00a0a $96.75 increase over the 2021 amount.<\/p>\n<p>Looking for an easy way to manage changes to employee benefits?
