How do I enter my payroll?<\/h5>

Hours and wages can be entered in a variety of ways, depending on the complexity of your payroll. For simplicity, you can use our Quick Entry grid, or import your hours from one of several time keeping systems. Or for more complex entries, you can enter information through our detailed view, allowing you to enter an unlimited number of departments and rates, or override scheduled deductions or taxes. What makes Evolution different from the other systems in the industry?<\/h5>

Most other national providers offer browser-based applications, which have severe limitations. They become limited as to what actions they can perform due to programming restrictions within a browser environment. In addition, there are inherent security concerns when entering your information through a browser. Evolution uses thin-client technology to eliminate these concerns.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>

What are the advantages to Evolution's thin-client technology?<\/h5>

With Evolution's thin-client architecture, there is a small application installed onto your PC, but all of the data resides on our servers. When you log into Evolution, you are securely accessing your data in real-time as if you were sitting at a PC in our office. Since Evolution is running a small application, there are no programming limitation. This allows us to provide you with the tools you need to manage your employees and payroll.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>

Do I need to call a different department anytime I have questions?<\/h5>

No. Your individual Account Specialist uses the same version of Evolution as you, and since your data resides on our servers, they can access the information you are viewing at the exact same time. This allows your Account Specialist to assist you in ways that that would be unheard of with any other system.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>

What reports are available in Evolution?<\/h5>

We have over 90 stock reports built into Evolution. Chances are there is a report to satisfy your needs, no matter what you are looking for. There are also Ad-Hoc reports so you can create your own reports by simply selecting the fields you desire. Additionally, GTM will customize reports based on your needs and requirements.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>

What do I need to do, from a technical standpoint, to prepare for the installation of Evolution?<\/h5>

Your technical packet will include system requirements for the Evolution software. It is a simple step-by-step installation process that can be provided by GTM to insure that the Evolution software installed on your systems can communicate with our servers. If you have a desktop firewall (excluding Windows Firewall) installed on your systems, just make sure that this firewall won\u2019t be blocking the communication of Evolution to GTM Servers. On a corporate level, all it takes is 2\u20133 ports to be opened to ensure proper communication.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>

What is Evolution's Integrated HR Module?<\/h5>

Evolution's Integrated HR Module is completely built-in and uses a single database for increased efficiency. Our HR Module provides the tools necessary to track employee information such as attendance, injury occurrences, COBRA, and more. How are updates applied to Evolution?<\/h5>

Any time we apply a new update, Evolution automatically updates itself when you log in. This relieves the stress on your IT staff from having to constantly re-install new software any time there is an update.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>

How secure is my data?<\/h5>

Evolution uses 256-bit encryption, thereby ensuring security of your data. Each user is assigned a unique login ID and all changes made to your employee information are tracked through a complete audit trail. We have redundant backups in place and also keep a hot-site in a remote location in case of a regional disaster.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div>
