Career opportunities with GTM Payroll Services

Business Payroll Sales Representative
We are always looking for and eager to meet top sales professionals who are ambitious, self-motivated and goal oriented to market our web-based payroll and human resource solutions. The primary responsibilities of our sales representatives are:

  • Selling GTM’s products and services to business owners, CFO’s, company controllers and HR Directors, and developing new client relationships.
  • Demonstrate technical selling skills and product knowledge in areas of payroll, payroll taxes, human resources, workers’ compensation, benefits administration and unemployment management.
  • Prospect the entire territory through individual efforts such as; phone canvassing, foot canvassing, vertical marketing, direct mail, developing client and CPA referral networks to help increase the client base.
  • Achieve or exceed company assigned sales quota.
  • Maintain accurate daily records of all activities (prospecting, sales calls, presentations, sales, etc.) within the assigned territory.
  • Complete all steps and paperwork necessary to start new clients efficiently and effectively.
  • Make regular presentations to CPA firms and referral partners
  • Attend and participate in business organizations in the assigned territory (chambers of commerce, etc.)

To be successful in this position, candidates must possess solid interpersonal and communication skills in order to make presentations and close deals, have the ability to succeed in a competitive, high-performance, quota driven environment, and be a team player with the ability to coordinate efforts with other departments. Minimum qualifications for this position are: a BA/BS in Business or a related field, 2-4 years of relevant business to business sales experience (or the equivalent combination of education and experience), and documented sales success in the payroll industry is a plus.

Experienced Client Services/ Payroll Representative
Due to an expanding client base, we are looking for an energetic individual to fulfill an opening in our customer service department. This position is accountable and responsible for all aspects of quality service for assigned clients; contacts and assists clients in process of obtaining information for payroll production and tax related issues; verifies totals, responds to and resolves client questions/problems and delivers quality customer service in a fast paced environment. Primary responsibilities of this role are:

  • Maintaining a high rate of client retention and satisfaction through quality service
  • Contacting clients daily for payroll data including salary adjustments, special payments, tax allocations and employee deductions and to set schedules
  • Accurately keying all payroll related data necessary to process and meet payroll schedules
  • Providing timely and accurate information to customer’s requests and questions
  • Maintaining current knowledge of GTM’s payroll processing system
  • Staying abreast of changes in payroll laws and participating in company on-going training program
  • Research and resolve client and system issues
  • Participate in conducting training sessions for new clients

To be successful in this position, candidates must possess a solid understanding of payroll and payroll tax laws, have strong customer service, problem resolution and time management skills, have the ability to manage and effectively prioritize multiple tasks at one time, have proven facility in common computer programs as well as the technical aptitude to learn and use new systems. Minimum qualifications for this position are Associate’s degree or equivalent from a 2-year college, 4 or more years of payroll and customer service experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience. FPC or CPP is a plus.

Inside Sales Representative
GTM‘s success is fueling continued growth, and we are always eager to meet bright and assertive Sales Professionals to market our household payroll, insurance and human resource solutions. The primary responsibilities of our inside sales representatives are:

  • To be the first point of contact with household payroll prospects, explaining GTM’s services and signing them up as clients.
  • To manage and support assigned nationwide referral partners (placement agencies, CPA’s, attorneys).
  • To support, assist and advise on tax and payroll education with referral partners.
  • To proactively locate and develop new referral sources and partners and increase referrals from existing partners.
  • To market, demonstrate and sell placement software to partner agencies.

To be successful in the position, candidates must possess the ability to handle objections and close sales, the ability to foster and manage relationships with business owners and other business professionals (CPAs, Financial Managers) to generate referrals, solid interpersonal and communication skills in order to effectively communicate to referral partners and prospects the value of GTM’s suite of services. Minimum qualifications for this position are a 2 or 4 year college level education and previous experience in inside sales.
